Operation Birthright: "The Operation Birthright Project ensures all Jamaicans have a legal identity. Programme of Advancement Through Health and Education (PATH)

PATH applicants are invited to visit the Ministry of Labour and Social Security’s office in their parish of residence to complete the application process.
The process may also be undertaken at designated centres, communities or within homes of the elderly or persons with disabilities.
Demographic and other socio-economic data are collected on individual family members and the information entered into the Beneficiary Identification System (BIS).
Benefits are delivered to families for a period of four years, after which they are required to re-apply and be reassessed for continued eligibility.

The National Health Fund was created by The National Health Fund Act "to provide funding for specified healthcare benefits, health promotion, health projects and pharmacy services in a sustainable, efficient and customer-centric environment".
The NHF Card - The NHF Card Programme is available to all Jamaican residents. The NHF helps pay for select supplies & services necessary for treating those who have any of the covered 24 chronic illnesses:

Diagnostic/ Screening Tests Available on The NHF Card
Haemoglobin A1c (HbA1c) - All NHF Card holders (4 tests every year for diabetics; one test for all other beneficiaries)
Electrocardiogram (ECG) - AII NHF Card holders
Breast Cancer Receptor Studies - NHF Card holders diagnosed with breast cancer
Free Glucometer - All NHF Card holders diagnosed with diabetes (1 device every two years)
Pap Smear - Women aged 21-64 (1 test every three years)
Mammogram - Women aged 40 - 75
Prostate-Specific Antigen (PSA) Test - Men aged 40-74 years (1 test every year)
Drug Serv - Drug Serv Pharmacies are public sector pharmacies located at government run hospitals and selected health clinics across the island. Currently, the NHF operates 106 Drug Serv Pharmacy locations through full time and scheduled service. This includes prescription services such as: scheduled refill, Quick Prescript App (download to your Android phone or your Apple phone), Quick Prescript Kiosk (if you don't have a smartphone) at certain public sector pharmacies islandwide, and Mobile Dispensing Unit.

JADEP - The Jamaica Drug for the Elderly Programme (JADEP) provides a 100% subsidy for specific drugs, covering 10 chronic illnesses, for all residents of Jamaica who are 60 years and over. Once an NHF Card holder reaches 60 years old they automatically qualify for JADEP benefits if they have any of the conditions that are covered by JADEP. The NHF Card holder pays a small fee to the pharmacy for dispensing the drugs. The fees are:
$40 JMD for one item on your prescription
$80 JMD for two items on your prescription
$120 JMD for three items on your prescription
$160 JMD for four items on your prescription
$200 JMD for five items on your prescription
$240 JMD for six items or more on your prescription
